Readiris™ 12 features new SmartTasks buttons. These SmartTasks allow you to execute the most frequent OCR commands at the touch of a button.
The SmartTasks are by far the easiest and smartest way to use Readiris™ 12: by clicking a SmartTask you can scan, recognize and send documents directly to Word, Excel, OpenOffice and your e-mail software, or save them as PDF and XPS files.  The SmartTasks apply predefined settings but can be configured easily to fit more particular needs.

Revolutionary High-Quality Compression technology (iHQC™)
iHQC™ is the perfect tool to create, share, archive and retrieve color or black&white documents. iHQC™ allows to generate fully-searchable PDF, XPS & PDF/A files (containing both the color image and the full-text index) that are up to 400 times smaller than the original color image!
