: There is a line showing up the length of the page on the scanned documents. I have cleaned the rollers and wiped off the glass but no luck at removing the line.
Answer : Considering that cleaning the glass did not help, the most likely cause of this problem is a microscopic crack in the glass or the lamp, although it would take a licensed technician to be sure.
Depending on the scanner model, you can either purchase a replacement glass and/or lamp or have to go through a warranty or post-warranty service contract to get the necessary parts replaced.
