Do you have OCR software for Chinese character recognition?
 
Answer :

The best of these software that can convert Chinese text are ABBYY FineReader, IRIS ReadIRIS, and Nuance OmniPage.

They are very accurate and have many advanced features to make the OCR process versatile and easy.



  • FineReader has a 15-day limited demo of its Professional Non-Arabic version for Windows.

  • ReadIRIS has 15-day limited demos of both its Windows and Mac versions. However, the demos are for version 11, since there are no newer demos available, which does not include Chinese conversion.

  • OmniPage does not have a demo.


To download the demos, you will first need to create a free ScanStore user account or log in to your existing account.

Once you're logged in, simply click on the Demos & Downloads link on the respective product page.


If you'd like to evaluate the OCR capability of any software version that we do not have a demo for, you can e-mail us a couple of sample pages, preferably scanned at 300dpi in black & white (not greyscale or color), and let us know the format you would like them converted to.
