ScanFix was Pegasus Imaging's image cleanup software, used to straighten, despeckle and repair scanned pages before OCR. Pegasus Imaging became part of Accusoft, which still develops ScanFix as a toolkit for software developers. ScanStore no longer sells it. If you need scanned images cleaned up, these are the options we offer.
Image cleanup without programming
SimpleIndex image cleanup deskews, despeckles, removes black borders, rotates pages upright and deletes blank pages on every page of a batch, before OCR and barcode reading, on your own Windows computer.
Kofax VRS cleans up images at the scanner driver, adjusting each page as it's scanned.
Your scanner's own driver. Most current document scanners do deskew, cropping, blank page removal and background cleanup themselves.
