Kodak scanner maintenance and service
Kodak document scanners, from the desktop S2000 Series to the i5000 production scanners, stay reliable with two things: consumables replaced on schedule, and a service plan so a breakdown doesn't stop your work. We supply both for current Kodak models and many older ones.
Routine maintenance
- Feeder consumables. Rollers, separation pads and tires wear with every page and are rated for a set page count. Replacing them on schedule prevents most misfeeds and double feeds; see Kodak feeder consumables kits.
- Cleaning. Paper dust on the rollers, glass and sensors causes streaks and feed errors. Kodak transport cleaning sheets and cleaning supplies take a few minutes a week.
Kodak service plans
Kodak service plans, sold per model, extend coverage beyond the factory warranty. Depending on the scanner, they offer on-site repair on the next or same business day, or advance unit replacement, where a replacement scanner is shipped before you return yours, and some include preventive maintenance visits. See Kodak service contracts, or open your scanner's page and use List parts to see the plans for your model.
If your scanner needs repair now
Many feed and image problems are fixed by cleaning and new consumables. For anything else, tell us your model and what's happening, and we'll help you find the part, a service plan or a replacement. See also Kodak scanner parts.
